Anyone using BTinternet email account with Outlook from Office 365?

For the love of God could you please tell me what settings you are using that let you access this infernal company's email account with your outlook client?

i am using it here just come forward this week to windows 10 from 7

seems to be working ok shop set up and imported old email from other machine. but i have today just added two g mail accounts.
dont know about settings but could look if i knew what i was looking for

Different settings depending on whether you're using IMAP or POP (you should be using IMAP)

I've tried all the suggested settings for both IMAP and POP to no avail. Quite why anyone would elect to use BT as an email provider I have no idea but in-laws.

incoming: mail.btinternet.com port 993 Require SPA ticked
outgoing: mail.btinternet.com port 465 SPA unticked. Outgoing SMPT authentication ticked "using same settings as incoming"

Thanks for the above. I've been meddling with it for a while now and finally got it to work. I logged into the BT email account in question through my browser so I reckon the account itself was suspended due to inactivity.

Been doing this for years .. have multiple BT email accounts linked to one inbox screen .. I think we don't use 365 though. Use the last desktop client which I think was free.
