Carsehall Farms 4TH cut grass with Lyons Contracts 2022​

Carsehall Farms getting stuck into 4th cut grass on an absolute belter of a day with an incredible view of Benevenagh Mountain As always Lyons Contracts provided the forage muscle with the John Deere forager and the fleet of tractors is a mix of the contractor and the farm's own kit. Will we see 2 more cuts this season or will it be more?

McConaghy Contracts working with a fantastic view of Benevenagh Mountain the Claas 970 purring along with the 40ft rows of grass from the Krone rake and the T7.270 providing the Muscle, 4 x T7.210 carting the grass to the pit the Kane Halfpipes and in one of the most awkward pits the JCB 435s and the JCB 538-70 shoveling the grass away. This was the farm that I worked on over a number of years when I was younger so always great to catch up on what's going on with first-cut silage...

Late one Saturday evening around 9pm caught up with Drenagh Farm getting in first cut grass, iirc they cut around 700/800 acres for both the digester and the dairy herd. Running a mixed fleet of New Holland and Case IH tractors carting in with the Claas 980 on forager duties!!
