We are looking for a Assistant Herdsperson to be a part of a team of 4 for our 330 cow, 500 acre dairy farm. The herd is autumn block calving and run on a paddock grazing system, making maximum use of grazed grass through a fully tracked paddock system. We rear around 90 replacements every year born over an 8 week period. Most field work is carried out in house using modern up to date kit. Silage and whole crop are lifted by a local contractor.
A one bedroom self contained flat on farm is available if required with the job.

Assist with milking, scraping out and bedding up.
Assist with calf rearing during calving season.
General stock tasks including de horning and vaccinating
Setting up electric fences and grass allocation.
AI and foot trimming desirable but not essential.
General farm maintenance and tidying.
11 day a fortnight rota including milking every other weekend.
Relevant training and CPD will be provided.
20 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays
