Got a load of it today for cow lanes. Should i cover the whole lane or just do a strip up one side? Its very heavy whats the best way to roll it out?

Do you just roll it out onto grass or do you need to dig out and put in a base for it?
It has to go on top of a hard base. The ones I have seen have had 2 strips side by side to cover the full width. The base needs to be in good order first with no pot holes before the Astro turf is layed down.

Have good level lanes to put it on the main problem with them is there too stoney for the cows.
Have to drive tractors on the lanes a bit will this do it any harm?

Put it down the middle, tractor will straddle it then. We put ours in the bucket, and tipped it out, then just flicked it with the bucket till it had all unrolled.
The 1st 100m out of our yard is no good, will either concrete or concrete sleeper it,but after that the astro is proper.

Why is it no good? The first100m of my lane is very mucky and its hardcore with a very good camber. I was going to do it with AstroTurf but now im not so sure!
