Astrokerb Water Rates

Aminopyralid is translocated by leaves and roots.

Astrokerb maintains that it is a) water-resistant after 1 hour, but also b) that it has a special formulation so the aminoyralid bit only binds to living tiissue but washes off trash.

They say

(Astrokerb bumf) "some root uptake before it breaks down harmlessly in the soil" - but also that it is so persistent not to grow pulses after it.
(US Aminopyralid bumf) " It is absorbed by the foliage and roots of actively growing plants and translocated to the meristematic (high-growth-rate) areas of the plants, including the roots" whereas the Astrokerb bumf says it works when temps are cold, which in my mind is not exactly actively growing.

So for us mortals, that means its forking magic innit. Especially as dow maintain that you can spray normal kerb onto a full OSR canopy and still suffer no reduction in BG control.

TAG trials also show no reduction in efficacy from applying propyzamide to large osr canopies. I can vouch for the control of poppies, thistle etc in cold weather by Astrokerb. I didn't get mine on until January last year & it worked fine.

As for a dry leaf for the aminopyralid, well, you've got to get on at this time of year but try to pick the best travelling conditions you can. JFDI

Is there anyone from Dow UK in here? PM me if you'd rather not come out in public. I've had offiline discussions with other major agchem companies who'd rather not show themselves in here.
