I am sure we all remember
Aug 1 years ago when there would be rows of new cars lined up with new reg at main
Dealers.... the same at the main IH dealer I worked at
How times have changed !!!

Used to be spot the new reg plate, now its wondering if you will see one.
Not seen any new reg tractors in the last 6months, lorries maybe 10, certainly nobody in my village have bought new, plenty part X for a pre reg bit even those were 2 yrs old

I must be living in an economic boom zone. An acquaintance of mine owns a Case construction franchise and has just taken on a Deutz Fahr franchise too, he tells me business is brisk.

I see plenty of new cars around too. I was at a classic car auction at the weekend and it was ironic how many of us had turned up in brand new cars to buy classic ones!

There is no doubt that new car sales are down a bit, but I think that's more a symptom of the sheer number of brand new cars that have been sold over the last few years. We're in the trough of the buying cycle after riding the peak.
