We actually leave tubs of water out, under garden taps, for all the birds & lizards & insects as well . . .

I’ve lost count of the people with dogs I’ve kicked off our Council fields ( as part of my role with Parks & Gardens, I’m also responsible for the maintenance of all our sporting fields )

Moreton saleyards facebook, auctioneers reports are worth a watch. Cattle trade is dire, take the very poor prices or keep them and buy very expensive feed for goodness knows how long. Feed jumped 80 dollars/t in a very short time.

I will be buying as soon as mine go yes.

This is when we usually make the best money down here.

Supermarket prices in pics, grown angus steers selling for $2 a kg in nsw today, and weaners 1.60 top, cows sub $1.

The last pic $29 a kg was pumped so full of water it would be 40 dolla equivalent.

Hehe a scotch is in between a porterhouse and eye fillet, thats as much as i know.

Whats the price to ship cattle by sea?

Don't know. But their must be money in the job though. At the peak about 12ish months ago they were paying $2500 for a 200kg commerical Holstein heifer to China. Bums out of the job now we got $1200 for the last lot. $900 for Angus heifers on the last boat.

The farm my daughter is on is buying in cattle even though they’ve no grazing and are buying in food. They’ve moved the cows close the yard for feeding and to avoid damaging the grass too much.
