Tacho has not worked since I bought this one. Assumed cable broke so bought new cable and tacho kit. Came to fit and cable on existing tacho is fine, drive is working and when cable is in tacho I can spin cable and needle will move. Only problem is that the drive is rotating in the wrong direction?? Any ideas??

It must be the Tacho that was fitted was the wrong one. May be non original engine?
