Backhoe loader/digger

Hi
Looking for a Backhoe Loader as cheap as possible, it just needs to start and all the equipment to work as it should, not overly concerned about the aesthetics, struggling to find one close to the BB12 postcode.
Have found others that look good further afield but the cost of transport is taking me over my budget ( up to £4k)
Need one within the next 2 weeks

£4k is in the 50b, 3C and Ford 550 range. Up it about a grand and you would be in 555 and 655 territory. Are you any good with the spanners and a welder and have a hydraulic crimping machine and access to hoses and fittings? I bought a 655 for self build but hired a CAT 312 in for two days for the muckshift and digging the footings. 655 has been handy but not trouble free...

Hi yes I totally agree on the budget , was hoping on a miracle of someone coming forward to yes I’ve got one totally hassle free and you can have it for £3999.00 , there’s a few of those you have described on eBay for £2500 which look like they’ve already been resurrected a few times in there working lives!
I’ll keep looking , for a decent 3c or a 555 , there has to be one out there somewhere ?

You will find a better Ford or MF for the price than a JCB plus that vintage JCB will have Leyland running gear....... The only issue with buying one for a self build is you keep finding work for it therefore instead of selling it after you start looking for a dumper.....:banghead:

Ebay does not recognise Ford digger or Ford backhoe very well, you have to search for a Ford 550 or 555 or 655! Or trawl through every heading that JCB have been added into ???
