Would people be able to post images of the back of the parlour, we're looking at cow flow and wondered what other people's parlours were looking like and were like for cow flow

What sort of parlour are you looking for? Generally speaking parlours are normally purpose build so you may find certain makes fit better with your farm.... I've milked in many parlours over the years.... From fullwood to Westfalia now GEA to boumatic and rotary..... Generally speaking you would be good to give some info about what cow numbers etc? Our building is a 15 x 15 boumatic parlour and has a large undercover holding yard behind it..... Makes useful sense and cows walk straight in no issues

There’s a good fall on the collecting yard, and cows have flowed well into the parlour since the very first milking, other than a fresh heifer it is unusual to have to fetch a cow in.
Two parlour pics, like mine , that slope down to the front! I thought parlours ideally sloped to the rear. Couldn’t get the levels to do it on mine, don’t have any problems with cows coming in.
@Tarw Coch , what are the green tubs for?

My parlour similar to T M without the angle extension into collecting area. The pinch point i have is where the cow in photo is standing and at times 2 or 3 can be pushing to get in one loses her footing ,down she goes , others climb over her to get in as she tries to get up, possibly does splits ......?

This is what ours is looking like, someone should be lined up to put more lights in. Looking at putting boards around the back to funnel them in. Currently having to get cows in for every row. No backing gate and no Parlour feeders

Yes , 16:32 put in just over 9 years ago, all second hand but installed to as new spec.
Stallwork is for 20:40 and 4 more units will be added as soon as dealer gets a chance as I bought another second hand last year for all the parts I need plus spares.
do you feed ? presume feeders on outside wall. we ran Gascoigne auger feeders, best feeder about imho

There is no backing gate as there's an outside collecting yard going into the inside one, so it's not really possible to have one. Boss won't put feeders in

Does boss not milk? What a pain in the arse.... I would hate a parlour with no feeders.... We don't have a backing gate either but doesn't seem to be an issue for ours

Looks really dark compared to ours.... Like a battleship when it lights up.... No dark patches or shadows at all... Will photo it when I get a chance... Always so busy in the parlour to be able to stop and take a picture lol
