Bale wrap?

How long will bale wrap keep if it's left in its box and stored in a dark building?

I just bought some, and the date on the inside of the tube says 11/17 will it be ok, or do you think I should return it?

Well, either way its out of date in my eyes!

If your that worried about it use it on the bales you intend to use first

Quite probably but maybe not if it’s been stored correctly and that’s the made on date

If, after the first few bales off a roll, the wrap is not tensioning correctly - gets holes and tears a lot then it is no good.

The outside of a roll is the bit that lets a roll down, usually inside is fine if it has not been dented a lot.

Out of direct sun and lay flat in the dry they will last for years. Dont leave them end up or the tubes might mushroom

I know the cardboard cores can be a nusanse if they get damp but they are stronger than plastic, when they made Enduro film which was pre streached they found they had to use cardboard as it would crush the plastic cores
