Hello
Is there any reason why one end the knots on our 6 string NH BB950a are sometimes on the end of the bale rather than on top ? Is it bale length that affects it or something else ?
Thanks

I think every baler with double knotters suffers to some extent from this it’s generally when there’s not much pressure on the bales or when the baler is running and not being fed headlands etc

Seems to be all when it does it. We don’t bale ridiculously tight as they’re for our own use, maybe low twine tension then. Thanks

It depends how quickly the knot comes off the knotter bill once tied,if they release immediately the knot will be down the end of the bale and if they hang for a couple of plunger strokes they will be on top of the bale, pulls the knot tighter and stops it springing back if it holds on the knotter bill .
