need to get some working doors on this gable end ..

when steels were fitted the plan was to mount two barn doors on the hangers we built into the block .
with the door bigger than the hole , surface mounted .
not so sure now , would those handers move ?
a mate said install steel / prob angle iron each side , stick in ground a bit , weld top to the lintel , then have doors flush mounted to the wall , sounds a much better job to me only i'll have to make them more precise eh ?
eye bolts stuck out from door , is that called parliament hinge ?
question is if angle then how big 100 /100/ 6 mm ?
how much do I try to stick into the floor ?
I'd thought run a few straps on the inside and screw to the wall , inner wall side .
one day may even get the wall rendered .
last picture is hinge on my otter fence , was going to copy idea

Use what you have got. unless you planning on making the door out of lead....

what are you worried might happen? Pull the pins out? doubt it. if your that worried stick a 3rd hinge pin in. You could weld the 3rd one off the beam above if needs be.

I think that they will crack the wall, go with the angle iron idea.

When you build the doors, if you are worried by dimensions, make and install the hanging side of each door first, measure to the middle, make one door then measure the other once the first door is installed. Measure twice, cut once.
