Have used it before on stirks that have missed being dehorned as calves. Works well on the right size horn, needs a dehorning iron to cauterise the bleeding.
good bit of kit, if worried about bleeding, use 2 cable ties together, and pull them tight, around the base of the horn, cable tie, fairly small, but tie round the base of both, not 1 each. Couldn't explain that so well, but hope you understand ! Lad helping us a bit, said it wouldn't work, he apologised, done 100's like it.
A word of advice, leave it until the fly season is over, many years ago, 40+ did some, and we ended up treating them every day for weeks, flies got into the horn. Get set up right, not much more than 3 minutes a head.
