Basic Payment Scheme and Organic Entry Level Scheme

Looking through the BPS guidance just arrived it struck me that the exemption from greening and EFA for Organic farms could be attractive to certain mixed farms. The OELS scheme is currently still open and offers attractive conversion payments for two years and three years maintenance payments.

Not a thread for all to have a go at Organic, just to let people know about the opportunity to reduce bureaucracy and secure five years cash.

Isn't OELS closing to new applicants in the next few weeks? You need to be registered with a recognised certified body before you can apply too, and that takes a while, so anyone thinking about it had better get their skates on!

I'm not sure there are any plans yet to replace OELS either
