Has anyone added any extra lights to an rb35? Need to see more around the back when reversing and to see the booms better. Seem to be doing more liquid fert on a night now.

Speak to Graham Smith at Retrofit parts. Bought two 50w led Nordic lights with flood beam lens from him. Removed two of the original rear work lights and fitted the LEDs in there place to illuminate a 30m boom. These lights are absolutely fantastic! Graham very helpful and would soon sort you out am sure. You should get him at [email protected]

I have a smaller 18w led that am going to fit pointing out the back so that I can see in the camera in the dark. Tried it one night in the dark to see if it was going to do the job and it fairly did that job just haven't had time to fit it yet!

We have 15 hours daylight a day now! You guys must be doing some serious amount of acres. Or are some things better applied in the dark?

We tend to start the day putting fert on till drys up for spraying then sometimes get a load on last thing at night. Works for us and both jobs getting done.

Here is picture of some I have fitted and effect. No cab lights on in this pic so is purely led's. I just need to solve the ones on back for reversing as well. 36m boom by the way.

You can see them best on pictures rather than me trying to describe. One in front of induction hopper and other near toolbox in front of pump. Tempted to replace outer most work lights on roof with LEDs and then add another one at rear.

Depends how thorough u want to be if u want the easy route there is a positive and negative feed on the 7 pin plug u use to adjust axle width u can plug into that. I wanted it to be switched in cab so came off the main relay in roof and dropped 2 core cable down corner post to a switch to take power to and from switch then ran a piece of 2 core down the side pillar of cab and along chassis then split it left and right. At same time also put a light in for induction hopper to help with early fills.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks @Stevie

@Jack Russell

I've attached a couple of picture comparing/detailing two LED lights. The first shows an N46, 50W 4200LM (6700LM) with high beam lens LED lamp v the standard Halogen on the tractor. The lamp was positioned on the rear mudguard of the JD tractor for evaluation (next to the halogen lamp). The boom is 40m on a Chafer trailed.

The second picture details an N44 G2, 35W 2100LM (3400LM) High beam positioned at the rear of the 40m boom back lighting the nozzles

If any further information is required regarding the range of lights please let me know.

Thanks

Graham
