An expedition into the desert and one of the vehicles got a puncture -- again! They'd run out of spares so thought they'd be stuck. But, no, one of the native drivers took off his sandals with crape soles and melted them down to make glue to weld a patch over the hole from an old inner tube and they were on their way again in no time.

Anybody ever try opening a wet cell battery? After seeing this video some time ago,I tried,thinking if I could get in and slide something like a plastic spatula between each of the plates,that it would loosen the sulfation and revive the battery again. Haven't came across a battery yet that the lid will come off as easy as in the video. The lids are not just sealed around the outside but also between the cells as well.Not a chance the lid will come off in one piece with a chisel........
