I would think its best to ask what the interested party is offering. If you are happy with it, then make further enquiries with your solicitor and/or NFU and possibly the Farm Energy Centre.

Just wondered if anyone has had similar and could give me a idea of what they might be offering ish . It's not going to take much room roughly the size of two lorry containers .

Hi we have been asked if we would be interested in having battery storage beside an substation on our land it would be to store the electric from a 5 mw solar park and 8 mw of wind , just wondering how much the rent might be ? ;) Tia

We can offer £5k per MW on a 20 year lease.
If there is existing additional export/import connection capacity of 1MW+ we can reimburse the costs of this connection up to £50k per MW.
If there is no existing additional export/import connection capacity of 1MW + we can explore the options of getting the additional conenction capacity at our own costs.
As there is embedded generation on site there may be additional revenue available, over and above the £5k per MW, for the owner of the generation asset.

We would need to ascertain if you own the solar farm and /or the wind turbine, or if this owned by a third party, and you simply lease the land these assets are sited on? or do you receive additional revenue over and above the land rental?
What capacity the substation on your land is?
Where is your farm located?

If you would like to explore what we offer in more detail please email me [email protected] to discuss or call me 07748443805.

Additional info that may be of interest: One acre of land can accommodate up to 10 MW of ESS (Energy Storage Solution). So with our model that is £50,000 per acre.
And we can facilitate ESS on farms in Northern Ireland and utilise embedded generation assets such as solar farms, wind turbines and hydro.
Market offerings: One company is currently offering £25k per acre. Another company is offering from £1,500 per MW.

Phil,
Does peaking gas energy generation bring similar returns per MW for the landowner?
