what is the amount of gear box oil the mec m 8000 pumps hold, any one know ? There is no sight glass at the front of the gearbox.

No level plug only fill one at top and drain at the bottom?

Also on this tanker there is no external saftey syphon only a ball on the top? But there is one built inside the tanker but not sure how it works/if it works ?

Someone local to me put too much in and blew the housing off the first time he put it in gear. He had form though as a wheel fell off the same tanker on the first trip after he had "adjusted" the bearings.

take it they use normal 80/90 gear oil?
my mec 11000 pump has a clear level plug on the side but very hard to tell what the actual level is. easy enough to see that it has oil tho

It’s what I’ve always used!! Can’t see any reason that two gears and four gearings would need anything more extravagant!!!
