Two reports on Look East last night on this issue were very ironic, not sure if anyone else noticed.
Firstly they carried a report by the University of East Anglia ( the go to University for Climate Change experts )
This was a study of fresh water habitats which are releasing large amounts of methane into the atmosphere. This detailed the problem of green matter decaying in water such as rivers ponds and marshland.
The second was a report from the Owl and Otter trust on Redgrave fen which is suffering bad flooding, thanks to lack of management , ie. dredging by the EA.
This must have cused raised eyebrows on farmers in this area of South Norfolk, North Suffolk who have complained for years that the activities of the local wildlife trust have contributed to flooding rewetting land which had been arable but now was semi marsh
