Just watching a little of it now. Very well made and I'm feeling a little emotional over the tb.

On a brighter note if you look carefully Bg junior is leading a cow at the show.

Thanks for the link @llamedos, just watched it. Nicely balanced but quite heart-wrenching. I think I held my breath throughout that re-test. That poor man looked so defeated at the end I wanted to hug him. He is in an awful predicament and there seems no end to it. Does anyone on the forum know the family I wonder. I do hope they come through it soon and this government sort themselves out while we still have a dairy industry.

My son knows Laura the herds girl. As far as he knows they are still having troubles.

Perhaps you could ask your son to thank the family, Laura and the vet for sharing this heart wrenching insight into everyday Country Life.

My only comment would be point out to the commentator, that zTB does not just affect dairy cows. Beef cattle are tested just the same and also farmed deer. Also at risk are any farmed mammal in which TB is not tested for unless and until a pm shows it up: such as goats and sheep, alpacas and llamas. But way more dangerous for their owners, cats and dogs. Badger TB has been recorded and documented in all of these. And their owners.

Many thanks again to Maurice and family.

I haven't watched it yet but I know the family as they are not far from us. Unfortunately, the producers could've spoke to any number of farmers in the area and saw the exact same thing. When will the taxpayer realise that it's a huge cost to them as well as the farmers in question?

I certainly feel sorry for all farmers in the same situation as the family featured in the programme. But I do wonder how many other farmers would have put up with a TV film crew filming them while cattle testing AND asking them questions at the same time. I think it takes quite a lot of coureage to actually speak your mind on such a controversial subject in front of a TV camera, thank goodness this farmer did. As said in another post I just hope some sick individuals do not send sick letters to the families featured as they did to Adam Henson.

It's the uncomfortable truth that is never mentioned - that tuberculosis is ultimately a human-health issue!
