Be interesting to see how it pans out

Meanwhile, back on planet Earth...

The reasons why so many Brexit propositions have already been buried, with more in the ante-chamber, is precisely because of the woolly thinking evident in the OP. Where is the logical proposals? or the reasoned arguments?

Instead we are offered wish-fulfilment, as evident in the OP.

Why not expend the effort to describe the type of society you think Brexit UK should, or might, look like - how would it resemble Continental Europe? and how would it differ?

That is what we all would like to know.

I didn't say who will be wrong
I did say a long time ago on here that discussion in the brexit forums isn't much more than a bit of fun
So many folk that think they know what will happen
Be interesting to see

We may have to wait a long time in some folk's eyes. I was listening to a Brexiteer on the radio a few nights back, he was saying things are going to be difficult but UK should be back on track by 2030. FFS  I hope is wrong on that!

Just thinking it will be interesting to look back in a few years at some of the threads/posts in the Brexit section
some posters are going to be proved so wrong
Polarized politics provides an ideal atmosphere for ridiculous views. Take Boris Johnson's assertion that that referendum day was the U.K.'s Independence Day. What a muppet.

Tbh, for myself, the main thing I want to see is an end to the huge divide that has been caused. The whole country is now similar to Glasgow Celtic/Rangers. I am not optimistic for a quick end to it but would love to be wrong.

There is no "woolly thinking evident in the OP". I fully understood that the OP was merely msuing. You want to force him into putting forward projections which none of us can make.

Similarly there was no wishfull suggestion in the OP.

What is the purpose of the OP attempting to describe what you ask? What purpose wiould it serve? Just because you waffle on incessantly about what you "know" is hapening and going to happen does not mean that the rest of us have to follow suit.

You might to better to expend the energy you use on starting all the threads you do by actually doing something positive about how you can help to shape the future of the UK.

Don't know. I was reasonably neutral on the referendum day. I did eventually decide which way to vote but not until I went into the polling station at 9.50pm. Thank goodness I was not the casting vote!! But I did say to my children who voted that my thoughts were it probably would not matter which way the vote went if looked at over a 10 to 20 year time frame but in the first five years or so would be a right muddle.

So a year or so on my view has sadly been confirmed. Does take a while to sort out a forty year relationship.

I very much hope , for our children and grandchildren's sake that I am wrong!
That is why I am perfectly happy to work towards the common good., but in my heart I am sure it was a bad move.
I am terrified at the thought of a hard left labour government coming to power in the near future, more than the fear of a hard extreme Brexit

To me that's like a choice between the frying pan or the fire.

Mathew Parris in The Times today sense of exasperation with his Conservative party. Appreciate he was a definite remainer though. Hey ho. Be all right on the night.

It's amazing how so many don't realise just how conservative the working class and p*lebs are.
If this thing doesn't happen to their
satisfaction, come the next election, a good deal of the Muppets will be out on their arses.

Concur with the sentiment but leads to the question that seems to be vexing the ruling class 'what is their satisfaction'?

Poor analogy - referendum was binary - so lets go out to eat. Now we are faced with the menu - too much choice and somethings on the menu that give upset tummy - but different things cause upset tummy for different folk in the restaurant. So what do we eat that suits all. Hey ho - what an awful analogy. I will go back to the test match.
