Bead Bazooka

Got an old ag tubeless tyre we can’t get seated, can’t find nearby place with one. Wondering if it might be worth buying one as could be handy to have.

how do you know what size you need? Assuming it must be relative to the size of tyre you’re trying to seat? Anybody got one?

I have one, but if it's a stiff big tyre sitting too far from the rim.. they don't work.. three attempts, and it's back to the aerosol brake cleaner and 🔥 never fails!

I assumed it was the same thing as a bead blaster, and it appears so maybe the bead blaster is the big version as the bazooka is only 1/3 of the size. You'll want a 20l one, makes the job a lot quicker than messing around with straps etc.

Fill it up, put air line on valve stem once compressor fully charged then open the blaster quickly so it gets maximum possible. We often put a airline tail on the valve on bigger wheels, you'll get a lot first time some you have turn them round or mess about a little.

It possibly helps tyres go on just by being in the shed as a threatening tool.

Do you know anyone with a road compressor?
If you take the valve core out or unscrew the water valve off,put the airline off a road compressor direct on,I’ve never missed yet using this method.

Got going with petrol cause it was a Sunday but thinking it might be worth it for the future. The petrol methods a bit ropey 🤣
