Bead breakers

I did have a look at the air ones but I'm not sure our compressor would keep up as it is just a little 50ltr Wolf one though the angle iron would be cheaper I was looking at ones for on the tractor as I don't think the wheels have been off since the floatation tyres came off just before we got the tractor when I was 10 or 11 and I am unfortunately nearing 34 so I think they may be needing some work to loosen

Ah I don't know how I missed that with the hydraulic one

I vaguely remember using a bead buster once. I think it struggled to clamp to the rim if memory serves

You have to bash them in and set handle to grip the rim, them after a turn of the screw to make a bit more room loosen again and re-bash it in to get the stem at a right angle to the tyre, once its there it will hold and the bead WILL come off.

Perhaps I didn't bash it enough:D

The black ones I've linked above you just wind one screw and the curved finger pulls the wedge bit into the gap then wind the other screw and it pushes the tyre straight off no messing.

Do you know what the best thing to do is...........ring your local tyre shop/fitter. I hurt my back buggering about with super singles and tractor tyres in the 90s and have never repaired a tyre since. Apart from my kids bikes. For the cost of getting somebody out or nipping the tyre down to the tyre shop its not worth it.

We have one of these. It's brilliant so much easer to use than a slide hammer one. Best to use with an impact wrench, not failed me yet
