The cheap ones don't have grease nipples. Sealed for life or some rubbish.

'sealed for life' just means a smear of grease in there.
Standard procedure here is to pop the seal out and fill the bearing before fitting. You have to be completely clean to do it.
This is a new bearing, having just popped the seal off.
