The models seem to be firming up on another beasterly this weekend/ next week. During peak lambing for me.
Hopefully not as harsh as the last one, not sure if my Charolais x lambs will cope with 10 ft drifts!

Took some soil temperatures today. Average of 4.8 degrees with little variation either side. Given that grass starts to grow at 5, spring is not far away but we need a run of warm sunny days, which seem a distant prospect. Air temp was 4, which isn't a great help..
i was looking at my diary from last year and had written on this day last year pidgeons on clover and a smiley face which means we must have got had growth. The only grass i have this year is in my garden:(

But rain all day yesterday and the rest of the week. Snow forecast at the weekend
Just want some dry weather it's a swamp here on our clay (n)
