Anyone hear how DFAM stores were today? Cattle or lambs? Heard last week lambs were reasonable and fancied going but the stories of the lack of social distancing have put me off. Might try Longtown tomorrow or Hexham Friday for lambs. Could be cheaper if this fat trade has fallen again.
Dont think cattle had been as dear. Just going by the report

Another good number entry of 1343 lambs but overall a reduced quality. Trade was very strong for the heavier and best quality but generally easier for the lighter/leaner types. The best sold to 212ppk from PJ Holloway. Others 210ppk from RC Stock; 208ppk from T &I Collard, Milborne Wick Farms Ltd and GB & MA Holloway; 207ppk from Milborne Wick Farms Ltd, OJ & DJ Nelmes and WGF Chave & Son; 206ppk from AJ & RG Barber and 205ppk from Wallmead Farms Partnership, RJ & SA Rowe Farms Ltd, J Peaster and W Baker. Heavier lambs sold to £125 from T & I Collard. Others £115 and £101 from TL Attwell; £112.50 from PJ Holloway; £110 and £107.50 from Milborne Wick Farms Ltd; £110 from GB & MA Holloway; £104.50 from RJ & SA Rowe Farms Ltd and J Peaster; £102 from SJ Govier; £101.50 from OJ & DJ Nelmes and £100 from CHJ Atwell & Sons and DA & AP Gillbard. Overall average £89.42.

What about a blue Leicester, that would give you the bred of the year. Those old ewes at lanark were a great trade today. I think there will be a blackface tup make around 400 grand in the next few weeks, maybe at ua Stirling Dalmally sale, 16 grand for a gimmer, the prices are crazy, folk have more money than scence.

We stopped mucking about breeding Mules 30 years ago for a reason. Much easier to buy what we want!!
