Clean av. £2.06, have been £2.25+ for weeks. It’s on the front of their website
I'm told nothing just a bit of uncertainty and worry about a full lockdown but it's only a little wobble and it will bounce back again . Cull cows might drop back a bit .What’s upset the beef job?
I don’t think it was never off the market, pal of mine who has had it rented has left last week, so no doubt big push to sell. You must have some good lambs!..........and good feeding ground down in the Irthing valley bottom.(I see Chapel House is back on the market again,£800,000.)
Did you sell some stores?I'm told nothing just a bit of uncertainty and worry about a full lockdown but it's only a little wobble and it will bounce back again . Cull cows might drop back a bit .
Could be dearest farm in the country, I bought the top half for £500/ acre 25 years ago.....should have bought the restPlenty money for that!

No . I've kept them . Rightly or wrongly . I won't know till the spring !Did you sell some stores?
You struggling to buy stores. Butchers were out in force buying the heaviest bulls they could find during the first lockdown. 364 is better than the 320 this time last year tooI think these 240p+ heavy bulls will be back a lump in price with these extra restrictions. They are up there as catering has had to use British as there has been no foreign meat coming in. Irish firms are more concerned with fulfilling supermarket contracts, I hear the staffing situation is getting worse all the time in plants. On the price front, Woodheads 364p this week
Northallerton cattle averages today back over 25p both clean and bulls. Difficult without seeing any sold but a fair drop.
My cousin was saying there having a lot of problems with covid in the Irish meat plantsProcessors failed to keep alid on the beef price last time and will try every trick in the book to knock price and confidence this time around but supply and demand will keep trade up and honest.
Irish kill numbers are up and price is still rising.
Hold them for a few weeks and see what happens.
Cull cows will fly when restrictions lift again, wont be able to touch them

Well that's NOT what the AHDB market site is reporting................
Steers - 7.2 ppk on the week
Heifers - 1 ppk on the week.
Young bulls back 24.9 ppk on the week.
So you are just about correct for young bulls but certainly not for steers and heifers.

I’m going to sell mine hopefully. I have 45 ish in a similar category to what you have 400/450 kilos. I usually winter them and sell them in the spring but was hoping to cash them this time earlier with the improved trade. No . I've kept them . Rightly or wrongly . I won't know till the spring !
We all say that don’t we! Problem is 25 years ago we were selling beast for bugger all and sheep were no way exiting so land was cheap too. Mind you makes you wonder sometimes.Could be dearest farm in the country, I bought the top half for £500/ acre 25 years ago.....should have bought the rest
400+kg store cattle are in demand and sucklerbred 400+kg are a real trade . Its the small longterm things that are under price pressure .I’m going to sell mine hopefully. I would think it will be a fair few.certainly if its anything like the number abp an scotbeef employ.place is like an ants nest at parts of the day. They have been having a lot of problems over there in the plants with the virus for some months!
No idea how many they employ but a pig plant in Cornwall had 170 odd confirmed cases a couple or so weeks back, never heard how long they had to close for if at all.
I was thinking of cashing them and buying some younger running on stuff400+kg store cattle are in demand and sucklerbred 400+kg are a real trade . Its the small longterm things that are under price pressure .
