I am hoping for a no deal tbh, i think farming will be better for it in ten yrs time than if we get a deal. People have scared themselves shi#less about a no deal so i would quite like to see the truth rather than stepping back from the brink and never knowing. I have seen sheep at a fiver apiece before and nobody died so i hope boris doesnt roll over tomorrow evening.

How do? That sounds like a deal if it’s tariff free.
"The World Trade Organization (WTO) deals with the global rules of trade between nations. Its main function is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably and freely as possible"

There isn't anyone waiting to impose these tariffs on us, it is a default option which can be chosen. There could be no deal with agreement to extend the current free trade.
It would be at least as easy to build a future trade arrangement from a position of free trade as to get there via WTO tariffs.

All you ever do is moan and Criticise me for buying useless sh!t and as soon as the sheep job falls off a cliff and somebody throws a grenade after it for good measure you think f**k it I’ll jump off the cliff too and spend every penny we have on more off the wooly f**kers?!?!” Think I’d be having a few nights with the sheep dog [emoji849]

The concern for our industry is the tariffs the EU would apply to our goods though, not what we apply to theirs. You’re right they could do a deal for another period of free trade, but:
A) That’s a trade deal and,
B) The EU charge other countries for similar so wouldn’t be keen to give it to us for free.

Yep, not all auctioneers are as trustworthy as they seem ... I was 10+ppk down on lambs a couple of weeks back when I didn't stay to watch them sell ... wont be going back there in a hurry!

Mine just draws the line at buying sheep on holiday. Apparently I’ve done it too many times for it too be funny now. The tour of current and closed auction marts of Northumberland on our honeymoon might have pushed her too far...

Other than that I just get bollocked if I don’t come back with a full load! I need a really really good excuse when it happens.

I did buy a blue heifer with a calf last year after I promised not too spend anymore money until after Christmas. I gave the calf too her for a Christmas present so I got away with that one!! Just!

That's a bad job, my misses has never once got evolved in what I buy or sell. I never even tell her most of the time, I have my money and she has hers and never do the 2 mix. I have taken to writing down what sheep I own and where they are very month incase I die because I once realized nobody by me know what I owned.
