They are great cattle three quarters of mine are Angus but I wouldn't pay any extra for them based on the Angus scheme.Maybes, but someone must want them. My father in law did very well with his Angus monty x in hexham today, one of his store bullocks to £1400
They do the job rightThey were good big sorts with flesh on

And whilst there at it take Larry back , sure we would all chip in for the ticket. It seems they’re getting upset because we are going to impose the same checks on their beef coming in to us as they are on ours going out into the EU. Good, send it all to the EU mainland border free if you love it so much'Irish beef sector is facing a second cliff edge due to Brexit' - Agriland.ie

My heart bleeds. That will make it harder for Larry to bring in his polish sh!t.It seems they’re getting upset because we are going to impose the same checks on their beef coming in to us as they are on ours going out into the EU. I’d like to think you’d want to know what bull they’d gone to before putting your hand up????When I bought them as incalf heifers he gave me some luck and said ‘they are incalf to the Angus’
I replied what the fudge did you do that for?

I hope customs will check, but I really don’t think our government have the balls to do so.It seems they’re getting upset because we are going to impose the same checks on their beef coming in to us as they are on ours going out into the EU. There is that but I do feel there is scope for a huge Irish border issue to blow up again yet. Regardless of the best intentions of all sides you can’t have a border and not have a border at the same time. I agree with UK lorry drivers not being able to take their own sandwiches across the border etc. as It is just these things that have accidentally let F&M, Swine fever etc. in here in the recent past, but they can’t have double standards when bringing in goods through the “none border” from Eire. It’s an issue which will never really be resolvedI hope customs will check, but I really don’t think our government have the balls to do so.
What breed of bull?Sorted through our 15-18 month old heifers today that were out wintered until mid decenever. Wormed, clipped etc. Pulled out a 17 month old Augus out of a blue x fresian. Lovely long heifer, touch of shape. Quiet as a mouse. Decided she wasn’t going too do as well as I wanted in the stores as she’d make a real cow so I coppered her and put her in with the bull, he served her 45 minutes later so . I’ll try and get a picture tomorrow!
I did! A heifer is for life!!I’d like to think you’d want to know what bull they’d gone to before putting your hand up????
I also have read that the beef taskforce have fallen out over there and some people have been removed, i havent worked out yet if any of them are larrys people and if they were removed or did the removing! It seems they’re getting upset because we are going to impose the same checks on their beef coming in to us as they are on ours going out into the EU.
