I still have a fair few. I haven’t been holding any back just drawing up to. I hope they hold for a bit longer. There’s every chance this year that they might. If I can rake up enough for a wagon ewes and hoggs this coming week I might take some. Some say this is the last good week. Some say that sheep will get scarce later in the month. Who knows.

Romneys give no choice they are always fleshy , I went though hoggs that have had nothing but grass all winter I tipped a little silage on the ground in deep snow when passing to feed cows that’s it , all fat, they are unreal

I don’t think it will matter where any of us go for stores this autumn. Unless there is a MAJOR drought sheep are going too be hellish expensive everywhere. Been offered the chance of another 24 acre of green crop for next winter so might be better advertising too take tack lambs! I hear people are daft enough too pay over £1/week...
