They look strong healthy show of lambs!! Have you gone for a fitter lamb this time or just what was put in front of you on the day for the money??
I’ve told myself I’m not too buy the crap I did last year too get my average down. But it’s mainly that they were a better sample of lambs on the day and looked the best value for money. The bottom end bad lambs looked very dear in the late £20’s. Bad sorts altogether. I did buy a few pens of smaller very smart bright lambs at little money. But they look grand and should be proper hoggs come April.

I had to adjust my thoughts last backend. Same as you keeping the price low landed me with a few lots I shouldn’t have bought.
I would have been better off buying some more mules etc instead of trying to save a few quid and buying bad blackies.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing tho

I’m like that with ewes, hard to resist them cheap little ewes when there in front of you, but then when there at home sometimes I think they are a bit small but what ever happens don’t let the rest of the team know that you might of over stretched it!!

Why? Cutcombe SQQ 2.34 yesterday!

No idea why they have dropped so much today, esp given numbers are down in markets today v last week when you would expect numbers to be higher today due to the weather!

All i have noticed in the shops the last couple or so days that there is no ready made meals for sale so perhaps there is supply chain problems like what is affecting every other sector currently.

Even milk is getting very short or none for sale in many shops around here the last few days!
