i wish you f**king lot would hurry up and offload all your hoggs Iv got about 100 NSL between 35 and 40kg and I’v convinced myself I’m wiser too wait a couple weeks for the hoggs too dry a little

I can't believe they are short of OSL, unless they mean short of in-spec (16-21kg dw) lambs? Welshpool was chocked to the rafters this morning.

Aye, spot at penrith a waste of time with the aborted lambs, just throwin good money after bad.

Last time I was there many years ago with an aborted lamb the guy says it was inconclusive, I said surely enzootic with that pink pussy discharge and amazingly he said yes I think your right….and billed me for their time

I’ve been told sensible type mule ewes, full mouthed/missing an odd corner, strong twins £70-£90 a life depending on the day and you’ve gone plumb down the middle. So crack on

The thing is it doesn’t take much of a mule to be £100, then £70 for each lamb. That was my maths while going round ewes.

I’ve NEVER been able too work out how buying old ewes with lambs and feeding the lot adds up. Always been far dearer than I’ve expected. I’ve bought rough hill ewes with crossed lambs and done it but I’ve sold old mules before now and wondered how on earth the next man makes them pay
