I was in Blackpool in November 2000 bumped into a timber trader friend in a bar who had an order for sleepers from the government, he was there meeting an Irish man who would import them. They didn’t know what the order was for. They knew it was coming before it happened

Iived next to the pig farm for two years when i was a kid , feel sorry for him it wasnt his fault and for a government to pin blame of something like that on one man … just proves what utter cu n t s politician’s are

Funny we had some Aussie farmers staying the year before.they said UK would get f+m next year.how they knew this I have no ides but they were spot on.seems everyone else knew bar us.

I never thought that enough was made of the fact that it came from a government lab. I was working at Kilmarnock. They were shooting perfectly good store lambs to be chucked in the skip on the 'welfare cull'. Some even came down from Shetland
