Your playing with fire you know!Hell and I guess you have to feed ewes.
I wasn’t trying to, honest. Just meant must be a hard place to keep sheep.Your playing with fire you know!
Do you have to feed the hebrideans ?tell me about it!!!
tbf the 12 sheep and 6 lambs i sold almost covered my feed bill. problem is thats about a 5th if my flock. wont be an awful lot of profit in whats left. £53 a bale of round hay, +£400 a tonne of Concentrates and diesel at 1.96 a litre. Sadly unsustainable and theyll all be gone by the end of September. Going to expand our hebrideans and put a beltex on them.
No but your next door have to.Do you have to feed the hebrideans ?

No I can't see hard feed dropping much in price in a hurry and nobody has any idea how to get the fat price up to cover it,not a quarter as much as i would the lleyns. Got alot of access to hill but the lleyns would still need Hay, hebrideans wouldnt plsu they would need alot less concentrates. I reckon i was almost £40 a ewe this year on the lleyns, and that isnt likely to go down.
Did you attend any Geography lessons at school? No I can't see hard feed dropping much in price in a hurry and nobody has any idea how to get the fat price up to cover it,
Yet some say it is our duty to keep shovelling it in to them
Would have sold to farming if it wasn’t in bandit country horrible area

Are you actually on one of the islands or the mainland.I guess even some of that will be almost inaccessable by road, like Knoydart ?not a quarter as much as i would the lleyns. I agree totally that tractor loaders aren't a patch on one but you do pay for the privilege I've looked quite closely at secondhand ones after using a few different ones on places I've helped.Never had a joystick one or even used one. Loadall is the handiest thing we’ve ever had never thought we would use it as much as we do. Loader tractors don’t cut it in comparison
You don’t need to pay 98k 25k is enough for a farm machineI agree totally that tractor loaders aren't a patch on one but you do pay for the privilege I've looked quite closely at secondhand ones after using a few different ones on places I've helped.
Someone quoted was it 98k for one
You need a lot of work for something like that.
