They buy far to many now
Plus store lambs and collection centres don’t help
To be fair most ewes are bought months in advance, cheaper to buy ewes out of festival season and store them on grass than it is to pay high prices the week before. Friends of mine near Birmingham in a non sheep area were saying there were thousands of ewes in fields for weeks on end and then they all disappeared very quickly. It was Eid/Quarbani the day I was talking to them and they said that would suit time wise then

They say the cost of living is having a bigger effect than anyone thought , who knows ? Just what some one who knows more than me said , bit worrying .
To my mind the media are talking it up into an issue.
Yes things have gone up, but so have wages. What's min wage now compared to 3 years ago?
Not disputing the gap between the haves and have nots is bigger than ever, but average "man in the street"?

£9.80 for a shelf stacker at local mini supermarket. A friend who’s retired and staying here for a few months just started 3 days a week 9-5.
