Everyone keeps telling me Sunday/Monday rain is coming but my forecast just says 40% chance of showers Monday

Always the case at the min ,
recon it would be worse for your turnips if it did rain cos the chances are at the min it would follow up with more heat so they best left dormant for another week or 4 where they safe !

I think @Nithsdale Farmer's neighbour has got his wires crossed. The place was always cattle only when I worked in Ayrshire 20 years ago but it has changed hands since, I think?

Do they have another facility where they could take lambs?

I'll ask my neighbour again but it's Highland Meats he keeps quoting for lamb prices


We used to send cattle to Saltcoats - you'd be there at the time! And i agree it was definitely cattle only back then

Was that, AA from Yorkshire and RB from Aberdeen, must have been top lmbs, probably not much grass either place, but l had some yesterday and it was a guy from cupar that dought mine, said he had loads of foggage.

AA wasn’t buying many last year to feed not later on anyway
