I’ve been similar but think I’m going to try to produce less but better quality. My goal with my sheep has been to produce as many average lamb's as cheap as I can, but I feel I am being left behind in the live ring and will have to start selling dw something I don't want to do.
Sorry didn’t hang around to see ewes sold. Was that at the stockyard of the midlands? Did you see any ewes sold?

BrexitOne for the experts, what has changed in the UK sheep sector to have caused such a slump in demand for store/fat lambs?
Apologies it’s probably be discussed to death but don’t have to time to read back atm.
The pink lady,or she usually wears pink on some part of her attire. Have you got fit up today ? Whats the trade like ?It was a lady that bought them to feed
Not a bad looking one either if you know who I mean

Fieldsman service is free but an auctioneer isnt going to work for nothing very often, and isnt going to like being called out to value stock willy-nilly. Time is moneyOut of interest- do people pay for auctioneers to come and view stock that they are potentially looking to sell?
Had auctioneer out last week to look at store cattle valued them between 1000-1300 nothing specific but as a general
Those cattle aren’t going to that mart, i rang and asked for them to come look at cattle but at the end of visit left it that we would discuss as a family and let them know our decision. Email this morning saying any further valuations will be charged, at no point did we commit to selling them, another company also viewed the cattle they too aren’t getting them and the auctioneer said he was disappointed but would like the chance to view again in future if our plans changed, you can guess who’s going to be invited back
