Or the ones who bought stores last October/December at the dear sales and are feeding them or selling them back through the storesI still think it was worth feeding them, there's just not quite as much money in the bank as last year.
I think the people who have really lost out are those who didn't feed and are selling stores now. They were probably worth as much if not more last october.

Spring seems along way away today, bloody horrible.
Even down here in the tropical SW the daffs etc seem to be really hanging on this year and not flowering anything like as early as they normally do.
Yep i agree it does not sound anything like a sensible idea but that is what they want to do!

It’s bloody bad weather for young lambs here tonight and not looking forward to shepherding tomorrow morning.
Same here. Just started lambing. Had a proper rubbish day of it. Picked up more dead than what stayed alive. Think it’s a bit of abortion rather than totally weather related as well. Oh well tomorrow is another day!
It can only get better! I sometimes think we must be mad fecking about with sheep for what little profit they make some years.
Yet some people get a stiffy when lambs are £100 each….the b@stard things should be £150-£200 all day long
Yeah that’s true. Bad things rarely last just have to see it through. Although the lovely weather we had in February did make me think there was a price to pay in March!
sheep and cattle always same , bit shy of been really good but just enough to make you try again next year ….
Have been lambing like mad here today now it’s snowing and struggling to find anywhere to put them now. Have 240 in individual pens and currently only have 12 empty ones to last until tomorrow morning so hoping they slow down overnight now.
