Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

I still think it was worth feeding them, there's just not quite as much money in the bank as last year. :ROFLMAO:

I think the people who have really lost out are those who didn't feed and are selling stores now. They were probably worth as much if not more last october.
Or the ones who bought stores last October/December at the dear sales and are feeding them or selling them back through the stores
Dead loss unfortunately

Numbers of spring lambs rising quickly now, Exeter had 357 on Monday!

Spring lambs have done very well this winter.

You are correct about the hoggs, Two farmers told me the other day they are looking for keep to put 800 hoggs each on untill May/ June rather than selling them now, ( would normally be selling the last ones about now ) both want them away from home as they start lambing but would rather run them on than sell on current prices even thou most of them are ready/ heavy enough to go!
U mean new season lambs , judging by the foot of snow outside spring isn’t here yet

Really...they will need 200 acres each ...and if we get a wet April...oh yes and they wont be smiling when they start Mouthing them in late May...tissues at the ready ..been their and done that...cant see that feasible at all ...No spare Keep around my area...
Yep i agree it does not sound anything like a sensible idea but that is what they want to do!

But like you say there is no spare keep around and if there is it will be really poor sheep sick land where they will not do much anyway!

Sheep love lambing when the weathers crap….when it’s baking hot the lazy pansies lay about like they are on holiday
Have been lambing like mad here today now it’s snowing and struggling to find anywhere to put them now. Have 240 in individual pens and currently only have 12 empty ones to last until tomorrow morning so hoping they slow down overnight now.
