Think in the past stock has just gone to hexham but theres a lot of competition from other marts now for less stock

I had a ruck of sheep through Hexham this time that usually go through a procurement agent… direct to me but the deal was done through Hexham

Some death and destruction on my yard this morning, like a battlefield......then I thought we're in a battle with the weather.
I thought it's a shame we can't call a truce,a ceasefire but there is only one winner.

It's a bit dryer than it has been here but just looked and had 5mm so far and setting in

2 days dry would be a big help but we can't get 2 hours....long range forecast shows rain every day at some point for rest of April, just have to battle on, nothing can be done about it .

Thought it was a good drying day today with the wind but its bucketing down now so back to square one.

Been wet all day here,not as heavy but right wetting stuff first thing then eased a bit but coming on heavy now

That’s it finished lambing last one about 10 days behind the rest marked for single so haven’t been cakeing it to hard she was enormous and she had three, somebody’s been squirting the spray tin in the wrong place.

It doesn't have any point of any day, even for half an hour that lets you stop and think oh it's spring. It just like winter day after day.
And wetter than most of winter now.

I turned 3 cows and calves out that would be better off getting a bite of grass. One wild one that doesn’t like being in one that’s not overdone with milk and another that lets anything suck. They have chance to go half a mile away there’s plenty of grass for them they haven’t been 100 yards away from the sheds. They usually head upwards and sit on the higher fields where it’s quiet. I wonder if they know something we don’t. They are just eating silage on the yard
