It’s not a crime to jack it I’m, I’m not sure why some that are so miserable on here don’t, got millions in assets handed to them yet they winge and moan that the jobs shite. Plenty other thing you could do in life.
No its not, things change in agriculture one day things can be great and profitable next thing its turned on its head before you know where you are .

When people on here say this year will soon be forgotten about after a few weeks of sun….it won’t be forgotten for forever. It’ll go down in history like the titanic
Was me that said that, has it really been that bad? Our lambing hasn't gone too bad tbh, maybe lambing that little bit later has helped, we'll have less lambs than normal though because we'd alot more empties at scanning, think we had our share of losses between christmas and scanning

Is it that bad ? imagine a winter like this with a fat lamb price around 80 quid
P1ssing down here
Clearly not speaking for all, and I'm delighted that some have not had the same weather. But from my own experience and listening to those a LOT older round about, few can remember such a prolonged period of cruel conditions with practically no let up. Fat lamb price of £200 is of little comfort if you're not selling into that market for now, in many ways it makes the losses more painful, although personally it's the distressed and sorry looking stock that cause me the most anxiety. Nothing new in all of this, just good to vent.....

It’s sickened a lot of my neighbours off this time everyone you speak to has lost lambs and expect to loose more lambs in May the way stock is stressed

Texel x Shearlings with beltex lambs away this morning. Singles £278 (£275 last week)
Twins £335
Feels like the First day of spring here. Working in T-shirt and trainers this afternoon, had a cold drink at 3.30 instead of tea or coffee for the first time in I can’t remember. 1 field of barley left to sow and I will want a ruck of cheviot ewes at the back end to lamb 👍 positives 😂

That's how I see it
Those that ask 'is it really that bad' obviously havnt had it as bad but they should still give a bit of thought to those that have , it's been a rough time for many, as bad a winter and spring as many have ever seen .
