Combination of increased demand/ less NZ lamb/ UK lamb numbers coming out currently are down due to the weather the last few weeks.

Key question is : How long will UK lamb numbers coming out stay low?

They are selling a lot more into other markets this year coupled with sheep numbers being down in NZ.

I don’t think they are there to come out.

Slightly up I think. £82 last week for 42kg.

Trade started slower but picked up.

Yep pretty bad my lad is over there working for a contractor on the South Island grass is not growing and burnt up livestock not doing and worst of all work drying up and he may have to come home

Well lets hope the 60 kilo hog is £130 and the 45 kilo suck lamb is £150 and the 38 kilo suck lamb is £140

They didn’t put the same amount of roots in as they didn’t buy the lambs last backend because they had left so little profit the previous number of years, this was the reason the hill lambs were such a dire trade,the boys who did have the balls to go are having a bonanza as they will be more than doubling their money now.
