maybe NZ lamb is being sold as uk to british airways etc , lamb price jumped £15-20 or so in a couple weeks , bit unusual for this time of year yet

I don’t think they are there to come out.Combination of increased demand/ less NZ lamb/ UK lamb numbers coming out currently are down due to the weather the last few weeks.
Key question is : How long will UK lamb numbers coming out stay low?
No idea...I farm one day at a timeok fair comment , will that mean a glut later ?

Better off with a 60 kilo Hogg for £130 than a lambLets hope not as that will make early suck lambs worth £130+
What they waiting for? Most of the big lamb finishers I know are sitting with hundreds rather than the thousands they would normally have.
Easter!!What they waiting for?
Me too....love an Easter eggEaster!!

So why is that..what are they doing with their rootsMost of the big lamb finishers I know are sitting with hundreds rather than the thousands they would normally have.
They didn’t put the same amount of roots in as they didn’t buy the lambs last backend because they had left so little profit the previous number of years, this was the reason the hill lambs were such a dire trade, the boys who did have the balls to go are having a bonanza as they will be more than doubling their money now.So why is that..what are they doing with their roots
