What age were they? Steers or heifers? And suckler bred I take it? Paid well...

Buyers seemed to really want them which was nice.

Some of mine were runts as well. I had some Welsh lambs (from a stray Welsh ram and some poor ewes that were meant to go as culls but I kept them as they were covered in raddle and they lambed in late may) 30kg = £60. Not bad for something I was cursing at the time.

I'm beginning to hate reading this thread................... prices are no where near those quoted in this part of the Country.

Send some buyers down. You could have filled your triple decker with ewes at under £60 today. Haven't seen the lamb average yet, but it will be the wrong side of £2 / kg
