Top price (Rams) - £100/head from RH & GJ Richards, Gelli Fawr Isaf. Average - £65.95/head

OTM’S (24)
Top price - 179p/kg from H & W Howells, Goetre or £1305.60/head from G Bound & Son, Cefn Bach, Oakley Park.
Average - 135.64p/kg

Store Lambs (689)

our 40kg av 225p today at Carlisle, really they want them fitter ( the last few weeks of sh!t weather has done
them no favours ) but this trade at this time of year is too tempting for me to sit on them......rightly or wrongly we will see.

I’d be happy at that mine did £2 a kilo but they were probably the last batch of lambs that will kill this side of Christmas so we’re very plane... runts going into stores end of September and what’s left I’ll sit on until February

“DINGWALL, Dingwall & Highlands Marts Ltd, (September, 14th) sold 3,907 ewe lambs and gimmers at the Highland Mule Breeders Association annual show and sale.
Highland Mule gimmers (1,127) averaged £179.24 (+£36.21 on the corresponding sale of last year) and sold to £210 from Mountrich Farm, Dingwall.
Highland Mule ewe lambs (2,743) averaged £112.50 (+£26.65 on the corresponding year) and sold to £155 from Milton Farm, Aberarder.”

Last ever store sale at the old darlo mart today. Store Lamb donated to GNAA and I think cancer charity made £600. Store steer where money over 800 donated to charity made £1550. Were you there @Northeastfarmer
Yes I was there....bought 51 nice store lambs to graze some ground off that a guy wanted clearing.....it was a bit saddening for me tbh, I’ve been going to that mart since i was about 8 and been selling there most of my life....but onwards and upwards
