I think the day has gone for doing it really. You would need £5 just to break even most of the time nearer £10 from further afield. I’ve seen folks on with it most have dwindled away needing to run them folks get wise to it.It’s been suggested to me a few times. I’ve never just fancied the idea. I’ve always spoken against these people who bounce sheep from market to market with no proper rest in between. I’ve bought sheep that have done it too. Poor buggers take a fortnight of careful management to get going. So if I was too start doing it I’d be something of a hypocrite. I’m lots of things, but not that.

I think if I couldn't take £10/sheep out of them I’m better off bringing them home and farming them myself. My grandad can name quite a few round here who have setoff big style doing it and gone either buggered or bankrupt after 5 years. “Too much running around for a pound” was his way of putting it. Think I’ll stick too what I know while it works.I think the day has gone for doing it really. You would need £5 just to break even most of the time nearer £10 from further afield.
