Think most of them mustve been lookin in on here and seein that they are going to be £200 and believing it!
As the days go by it is starting to look more and more likely that @Northeastfarmer will get his £200!🙂
My butcher mate who has a lot of ethnic customers said yesterday that his sheepmeat sales has dropped off this week , and they are buying more beef and chicken due to price.

I hate to say it but maybe the prices shot up a bit too quick. Those dearer lambs over the last few weeks will have fed through to shops now and the price will have to of gone up sharply. If someone asked you a year ago if you're happy with £2 to £2.30,I think most people would take it
You could say that yes. You could also say that if we knew 20 years ago that we would be getting excited at 265 for hoggs in January with feed fert fuel where it is now we would be mad

All things considered, they should be £5kg live but sharp jumps in price put people off. Lambs jumped from £70 to £100 a few years ago and the chairman of the auctioneers association said it was a disaster because it would kill demand and it did. Couple of weeks like that and it dropped back to £80
