First small draw of suck lambs for south molton tomorrow. 42 - 47kg.
I am hoping the tails won’t pull them back - we left them on as had a lot of trouble with joint ill last year when they came off and normally sell DW.

Be Interesting to hear what some of the Brexit doom mongers are saying now?

A lot of them seem very quiet. My opinions enjoy it while it lasts. It's only going to be short term. Don't spend all the money on shiny metal that will depreciate. We've got to look at averages long term.
Yep certainly agree with that. Was just thinking earlier when subsidy goes how many new sheds will be going up. Loads gone up around here

Maybe its just a shame that you like to try and make yourself look big and clever by making personal attacks on other posters neilo ( but actually makes you look the opposite ) just because you do not agree with them.

All you are doing by your constant attacks on people like you do Neilo is dis-encouraging new people from posting on threads like this.

As for the supermarket contracts, plenty of vendors that are now selling liveweight have been doing these contracts for years, signed up to them for this year , quite how they are getting around the issue of numbers as mentioned above i have no idea.

You have no idea that 25-30% of the lambs in the market are from people with supermarket contracts, unless you’ve had intimate knowledge of each of those businesses. If not, you clearly just conjured up a number from thin air.

I do know about that particular contract, and have signed it again for this year, but opted for my hoggets to go elsewhere. All within the terms of that contract.

If I had broken the terms of a supply contract that I’d signed I would expect, at the very least, not to be offered one again. Quite rightly, if I had proven myself to be that untrustworthy.
You could be sued for breach of contract too, if the other party chose to, just the same as if I’d ordered a load of fertiliser in September, then it wasn’t supplied as the price had gone up by £80/t.

I’m saying thank the Lord we avoided a no-deal scenario, which was the nightmare scenario for lamb sales.;)

And yes, I fully expect this to be a temporary lift, although hopefully we may be able to hang onto some of it permanently.
