It’s frightening isn’t it…..dealing with some crazy lumps of cash nowPaying £330/t for bruised barley for finishers. 10k heap doesn't look very big and isn't going to last very long.

Unfortunately the money being paid for what we are producing isn't crazy yet. It’s frightening isn’t it…..dealing with some crazy lumps of cash now
Much rather have barley at £60/ t and cattle back to £3.50 dead and fert £90/TUnfortunately the money being paid for what we are producing isn't crazy yet.
If barley and fert fell to those prices i think beef would be £2.50 . Arable boys would all be under the doctor.Much rather have barley at £60/ t and cattle back to £3.50 dead and fert £90/T
It’s not that long ago we were selling B&W bulls at £2.50 and good lims @ £3.00. Thought we were having a good do at that! Then corn started creeping up!If barley and fert fell to those prices i think beef would be £2.50 . Arable boys would all be under the doctor.
The profit is the same all we are doing now is having a very dangerously high turn overIf barley and fert fell to those prices i think beef would be £2.50 . Arable boys would all be under the doctor.

Culls could drop £15 and still be a good price!Had first lambs in Ross this morning. 42.5kg. £133. Happy enough on the day. Trade generally a bit easier. Cull ewes were a touch back too but still good.

Ripped the tow bar off my hilux last night, finished weighing lambs at 1am this morning using a mates transit van too cart them home for the night… then used the mrs Nissan X trail too take them too market, nearly died atleast 10 times on the journey, 20 ewes and 30
Lambs was a touch too much for her steering was optional…
Just as I pulled on the dock too unload I got a phone call off the police too say my sheep were running riot… followed by a very angry dairy farmer that the police had turned them into his silage fields which no look like they’ve been flat rolled I f**king hate sheep
Sounds fairly normal to meJust keep chugging along like we always do what will be will be on another note… how’s your day going I hear you ask??
