I kinda think next spring will be worse than this one, bsp cut, probably less for livestock, sheep mostly, and feed, fertiliser, fuel still threw the roof.

It'll be worse than Alton Towers.
We're going to need big balls, nerves of steel and a sympathetic bank manager.

Never even crossed my mind that it could be an insurance write off tbh …

Part of main structure mine could have had new parts. Could not weld? as integral part of the towing strength. Parts and stripping fitting was way more costly than value "uneconomical repair"" written off

The lambings have been very good as well everyone will have a % more lambs likely .

I don’t like to see the job talked down, there’s absolutely no reason for breeders to be any less than last year if they are you can just sell them through the fat ring because the ewes have been dearer this spring than the gimmers were last backend.

It just seems with nsl sticky aswell it's not the best start to a new season, 130 for a new season lmb can't pay. Hopefully things will pick up.

I'd of thought it's pretty obvious what's going to happen with the sheep job.mass off load lambs when the grass runs out.no ones going to want to feed them apart from @Anymulewilldo an @livestock 1.cant see arable lads bothering much this year either.just plough in any cover crops.all ready short on stubble neep seed as it is.

Forage crop seed already very tight, so the options fir getting winter feed in the ground pretty limited. With wheat and barley jumping again today feed will be at a premium. Nit many options for store lambs

Anyone at ua ewe hogg sale, not on YouTube or Facebook, that's not a good sign normally. Interesting what the mules were making. Probably less than last September time, sheep are defo heading the wrong way while everything is going up. Probably be able to buy nice gimmers for 140 this autumn and lmbs below 100 l would think. Even cast ewes aren't what they were.

Your right there whats the matter with everyone...sheep job is fine they live off grass cheap to grow,trades not bad either,we all got spoilt last year...i am not a pig farmer but if i was i would be crying...come on guys its looking good for us sheep boys

Just got a price from Davidsons general purpose stuff,£388/ton. Last i paid in April was £267. Meanwhile a few bags from Mole were £12.15/bag...................or £486/ton.
