Beef / Lamb & Pig Price Tracker

After putting arable into herbal leys 5 years ago we are starting to see the effects of too many sheep …. Having got out of beef rearing we are just going to have to suck it up. The first few years were amazing 🤩
Years ago I used to have a fair few cattle on fattening inside all year round. I had just started up and it seemed the right answer. The muck of those cattle could feed the land enough to get lambs fat off grass way into November. BSE beef values put pay to that idea but it was a system where the cattle complemented the sheep

Same type mule lambs, hard to work out sometimes!
I would email them through to Abp man and have a word as they are miles apart. I would have said they normally grade fatter at Dunbia as well. Either that or they were really struggling for U grades and you just happened to be there at the right time.
